2008 marks the 36th year of the Mattoon Street Arts Festival in Springfield, Massachusetts. The festival features over 90 exhibitors who display and sell handmade arts and artisan crafts. Items for sale include jewelry, ceramics, paintings, knitted items, soap, and more! Visit the Program page to see a listing of all exhibitors. Prizes are awarded in each of eight categories, and one exhibitor wins the Best of Show prize. Local food vendors sell delicious snacks and meals, and strolling unamplified musicians provide peaceful background music as you visit and shop. 2007 Show winners:
Related events include a walking tour, garden tour, and home tour. This is one of the longest-running arts and crafts festivals in New England. Many exhibitors have been coming for over ten years, and each year there are also new faces.
